Overview
Main Duties: This role will be supporting a fun-loving 16-year-old in accessing activities within the community that are already available, attend planned days out, and supporting to help her build her confidence and independence whilst navigating through to adulthood.
Responsibilities
* Support to access community activities and attend planned days out.
* Encourage and help build confidence and independence as she navigates to adulthood.
* Support with visiting activities she enjoys (e.g., Sam’s Place, shopping, local community activities).
Qualifications and Experience
Experience: The individual you will be supporting has a form of epilepsy. It does not affect her day-to-day life and episodes are extremely uncommon. While prior knowledge or awareness of epilepsy is beneficial, it is not essential — and full training and guidance will be provided to ensure you feel confident.
DBS: Successful applicant will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check; there will be no cost to applicant.
Logistics
* Driving: preferred due to nature of role
* Hours of Work: Between 4 & 6 hours every week with occasional extra hours (hours to be agreed between employer/employee).
* Rate of Pay: £12.60 per hour. Holiday pay and pension will accrue. Full employer’s liability insurance will be in place.
