Overview
Senior Real Estate Paralegal role at Reed Smith LLP. Based in the Leeds delivery centre, primarily supporting the RS London Real Estate group, with potential to assist other practice areas as needed.
Responsibilities
* Handling day-to-day management of workload including licences to assign, licences to sublet and alter, leases, SDLT/LTT returns, sale and purchases, LR applications, landlord notices, due diligence (reports on title, certificates of title), etc.
* Case and transaction management such as collating, proofreading and reviewing documents for accuracy.
* Conducting legal and non-legal research using databases and other sources.
* Assisting with other transactional or legal tasks required by the Real Estate group.
* Ensuring a high standard of delivery in line with service delivery requirements, quality control frameworks, hours targets, and appropriate maintenance of delivery frameworks.
* Understanding and triaging new instructions and delegating where appropriate to other team members.
* Identifying training needs and addressing service level gaps to ensure high service delivery.
* Developing, delivering and maintaining documentation, training and process manuals; identifying opportunities for process improvements.
* Assisting with transition of work to the Reed Smith Legal Solutions team and with ad hoc administrative tasks under instruction.

Education/Qualification/Experience
* Bachelor's degree.
* Law degree or postgraduate legal certification/qualification helpful but not essential.
* Minimum 2 years’ experience of commercial real estate law as a paralegal, ideally within a full-service commercial law firm.
