This role is critical in delivering Deployed and Interoperability Services within the Maritime environment. Managing the installation, implementation, and technical refresh programme of Information Communication Technology systems on to HM Ships, Submarines and Royal Fleet Auxiliary vessels.
Establishing and maintaining good stakeholder engagement for delivery to the vessels of a designed, agreed, and assured solution, and subsequent issues due to obsolescence or change management into the maritime environment. This ranges from small, medium and large-scale implementations in ships, and submarines.
You will be responsible for overseeing and assuring the design, embodiment, procurement, build, installation, commissioning, acceptance, and assurance of infrastructure, network, and communication systems. Additionally, you will manage the handover into Service Management and operational use.
Responsibilities:
Create and lead work packages to deliver agreed maritime outcomes applying your expertise throughout different phases of the project life cycle for vessels.
Day to day management and leadership of the work package to support delivery of named vessels.
Manage assurance of processes, including vessel infrastructure, build of Node Information Communication Technology and the installation to specific vessels.
Deliver and maintain vessel delivery plans by applying appropriate project principles, ensuring performance and controls are met, and reporting progress against milestones.
Schedule and manage resources to deliver the project.
