A highly respected and award-winning UK-based wealth management firm is seeking a Portfolio Assistant on a 6 month fixed term contract basis to join its dynamic and client-focused team. The Portfolio Assistant will provide essential administrative support to Investment and Portfolio Managers, clients, and internal teams. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth operational processes, timely client servicing, and maintaining high standards of compliance and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Manage incoming post and digital documentation, ensuring accurate client file updates
Use internal systems (e.g., APX, AWD, InvestBM, Client Space) to support investment operations
Respond to client and introducer queries via phone and email
Coordinate meetings and assist with onboarding new clients
Process payments, transfers, subscriptions (ISA/LISA/JISA), and KYC updates
Prepare review packs and assist with formal reporting
Build strong relationships with clients, introducers, and internal stakeholders
Provide cover for senior team members when required
Ensure compliance with FCA Conduct Rules and internal policies
Essential Experience & Skills:
2+ years in the asset or wealth management industry
Strong knowledge of investment account types (GIA, ISAs, SIPPs, Trusts, etc.)
Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
Ability to manage complex information and multitask effectively
Comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
