Overview

NPC is a wholly owned subsidiary of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The successful applicant will be an employee of the subsidiary and not Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Whilst appointees will have a base practice within NPC, they may be asked to work at other practices across our group. We limit this as much as possible as continuity is vital to effective primary care. Flexible working offers choice in where, when, and how we work, ensuring patients remain at the heart of all we do. All arrangements must be reasonable and balanced to maintain safe and effective patient care. NPC is a pioneering organisation and we operate within a transparent recruitment process.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Northumbria Primary Care for an increase in our Band 5 Registered Senior Pharmacy Technician teams, supporting a group of GP practices within a neighbourhood footprint. We have vacancies within neighbourhoods including North Tyneside, Cramlington & Seaton Valley, Central Northumberland and West Northumberland. The successful candidates will work closely with clinical and administrative colleagues to process a wide range of medication related tasks. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive primary care medicines management system acting on current best practice. The Pharmacy Technician will be required to undertake activities predominantly within practice, but will need to be flexible to work to the wider demands of the network.

To be eligible for this role you must have already completed your CPPE PCPEP qualification. Please note we reserve the right to close this vacancy prior to the closing date once the required number of suitable applications have been received.
