Job purpose
The Finance Manager is responsible for accounting, treasury and tax for the Belgian, UK and US entities in the group. He/she will also support the Group Financial Controller with accounting for holding companies (fewer transactions, primarily relating to financing, capital transactions and acquisitions). The Finance Manager will work closely with the shared service centre which oversees accounts receivable and accounts payable, helping the group to manage cash effectively.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
4. Accounting Monthly close activities in Belgium, US and UK: Payroll journals and expensesFixed AssetsPrepayments and AccrualsIntercompany transactions and reconciliationReconciliation of all balance sheet accounts Checking accuracy of monthly reports (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow)Check that transactions posted by the finance team are accurate and help to investigate discrepancies and provide advice
5. Treasury Management Approve payments and send money to subsidiaries based on funding requestsManage group treasury platform (KBC Reach)Maximise cash held within reporting group by planning larger payments
6. VAT and statutory declarations Prepare and file VAT returns and other regular statutory declarationsDirect filing or submission via an external advisor depending on Prepare all tax payments and ensure that VAT refunds are received as quickly as possible
7. Annual statutory accounts and tax returns Prepare all reports necessary for filing accounts and tax returns (with support of external advisors as required)Prepare all documentation for financial or tax audits
Competencies required:
8. Qualified Accountant with at least 3 years of post-qualified experience (preferably in a multinational environment) or part-qualified Accountant with significant, relevant
9. Good knowledge of Microsoft 365, particularly Experience with NetSuite is an advantage but experience with a modern financial system and working with digital platforms is essential.
