East Dunbartonshire HSCP District Nursing service are recruiting a community staff nurse to join our dynamic and forward thinking team. We are committed to ensuring our patients receive high quality person centred care within a community setting and require like‑minded nurses to join our team.
Successful candidates will support the District Nurse in providing skilled nursing interventions for patients on a caseload and will hold a 1st Level registration in adult nursing. Previous experience in a community setting is not essential.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern
* Location based in East Dumbartonshire HSCP
* Permanent Contract
* Full-time position (36 hours per week)
* Shift pattern for this post are 5 shift per week over 7 days including dayshifts and backshifts
Key Responsibilities
* The post holder is responsible and accountable for assessing, planning and implementation of programmes of care as directed by district nurse. These will be developed in partnership with Patients, Family, Carers and Significant others, and will be evidence based taking into consideration the lifestyle, race, gender and cultural background, and factors which impact on physical, mental or emotional health.
* The post holder may be required to assume the responsibility of the caseload holder during short periods of sickness, absence and annual leave, seeking support as required from other senior members of the district nursing.
* The post holder will be responsible for the utilisation of various clinical and environmental risk assessment tools in order to identify actual and potential risks and ensure implementation of appropriate interventions.
* The post holder will be responsible for reporting and participating in the critical appraisal of incidents to reduce any recurrences and participate in further investigation as required.
* As a member of the district nursing team the post holder will be able to support patients, families and carers in order to achieve optimum health and independence.
* Plan and prioritise workload as required, delegate work using available resources and make decisions to ensure that patients’ needs are being met.
* Work within systems to ensure continuation of a quality 24-hour nursing service.
* The post holder may be required to provide care of patients within a Treatment Room or Health Centre setting.

* Part 1 NMC Registration
* or 2nd Level Registration with General Nursing Experience
