Position Summary: The Lead Technician uses their experience and technical skills to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, while also leading and mentoring a team to improve customer satisfaction.
Pay Range: $25.74 - $47.19
Our technicians enjoy a flat-rate pay system that rewards efficiency and expertise. Rates vary by region.
Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and repair brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel, electrical, suspension, air conditioning, and computer systems.
* Explain technical diagnoses and repairs to customers clearly.
* Stay updated with automotive technology through paid formal training.
* Assist and train other technicians.
* Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least five areas within two years (company pays for tests and registration; bonuses for passing).
* State Inspection Certification preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Valid driver’s license at all times.
* Skilled in brakes, alignment, steering, suspension, general maintenance, and tire repair.
* Applicable certifications/licenses.
* Ability to communicate technical info to non-technical people.
* Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge of electrical systems, engine repair, performance, transmissions, heating/AC.
* 5+ years of automotive repair experience or vocational training.
* A.S.E. certifications in at least 3 areas (brakes, steering, suspension preferred).
