Practice Learning Officer – Talent & Organisational Development Team
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practice Learning Officer to join the Talent and Organisational Development Team. The role will play a key part within the Student Social Work Hub, working with universities across Scotland to provide placement opportunities for Social Work students and managing the new Trainee Social Worker scheme in conjunction with the Open University.
Key Responsibilities
As a Practice Learning Officer, you will be involved with the development, delivery, and evaluation of a wide range of learning and development activities for student and newly qualified social workers across the Health & Social Care Partnership and Education, Families and Justice services. You will support the delivery of placements and ensure that social work education standards are met, acting as gatekeeper for the social work profession.
Qualifications
You will require a degree in Social Work and a qualification in Practice Learning approved by the Scottish Social Services Council. You will have significant relevant experience as a fully qualified Social Worker and a Practice Teacher or Educator. Additionally, you will obtain PVG Scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland before commencing.
Working Pattern
Monday – Thursday: 08:45 am – 16:45 pm
Friday: 08:45 am – 16:15 pm
