Looking for a hands-on engineering role where your skills keep your community moving?
We’re on the lookout for a skilled and proactive Shift Fitter/Mechanic to join our award-winning team at Stagecoach Taffs Well. Whether you’re an experienced PCV Engineer or have a background in HGV, LGV, automotive or even plant maintenance, you could be just who we’re looking for.
What you’ll be doing
* Carrying out maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our fleet in line with Stagecoach and DVSA safety standards
* Diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic tools
* Responding to vehicle issues both in the depot and out on the road
* Supporting a safe, efficient, and inclusive working environment
* Helping to train and support apprentices and junior team members
What we’re looking for
* A strong engineering background with a focus on vehicles, PSV, HGV, truck, haulage, plant, rail, automotive, or agricultural
* An NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant field is desirable, but we’ll also consider strong practical experience
* A proactive approach to safety, teamwork, and delivering high standards
* Flexibility to work shifts and, occasionally, attend breakdowns away from the depot
