Job summary
The post holder will provide Senior Administrative support to a team of Administrators, Assistant Administrators and the Admin Team Lead.
You will act as the Ward/Team Co-ordinator in a team that may include clinical and/or non-clinical staff, Provide administrative support to a range of staff.
There will also be a requirement for PA support for service managers.
Main duties of the job

Supervise a team of administrative staff including undertaking appraisals, supervision, training and development of band 3 and band 2 staff.
Provide information and support to managers on the performance and conduct of members of staff and support with all informal and formal processes.
Day to day management and maintenance of staff rota.
Be responsible for organising and controlling own and others workload ensuring deadlines are observed and duties performed efficiently.
Work with Line Manager to lead on the introduction and proactive management of any new processes and initiatives.
Deputise for the Line Manager when directed and required.
To be responsible for dealing with telephone enquiries and other communications with a high degree of tact, diplomacy and confidentiality.
Provide cover as directed by Line Manager for other members of the team in their absence and assist with their workloads as necessary.

Education/Qualifications
Essential
1. Educated to GCE/GCSE (A - C grades, one of which must be English) or equivalent
2. RSA/OCR stage III/NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent
3. Able to demonstrate and evidence continuous professional development
4. High standard of written English
Desirable
5. Evidence of training in leadership and management skills

Essential
6. Significant experience in senior/secretarial/administrative position
7. Experience of staff supervision and management
8. Demonstrate ability to contribute towards service improvement
9. Demonstrate awareness of organisational policies and ability to translate into working practice
10. Organising, attending and taking minutes/notes at senior level meetings
Desirable
11. Secretarial/Administrative experience in the NHS within clinical and/or corporate services
12. Previous experience of NHS clinical and corporate governance processes and statutory frameworks
13. Lived experience of mental health
