About the Role
Night Shift. As a Residential Senior Carer at a Barchester care home, you’ll look after the different needs of our residents to enable us to deliver quality, person-centred care and support.
You will be responsible for leading a team of care staff, which will include training, supervisions and delegating duties on shift. You will also support the administration and ordering of medication, reviewing and updating resident care plans and risk assessment, and liaising with GP’s, district nursing teams, and resident family members. Like everyone here, you’ll always respect the dignity and preferences of our residents, while creating an environment that is warm, welcoming and vibrant.
About You
The successful candidate will have NVQ Level 3 or an Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care, and previous experience in a residential care setting along with proven team leadership skills.
You will have the ability to make appropriate decisions to support the needs and well‑being of our residents, demonstrating warmth, compassion and commitment to giving each resident individualized care and support.
There will be opportunities to develop your career through ongoing training, with many Senior Carer Assistants progressing into Care Practitioners, Care Community Leads or nursing pathways.
