About the Roles
We are recruiting dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join our mainstream schools across the Dorset area to support children and young people with special educational needs (SEN). Whether you have classroom experience, care sector experience, or are looking for a rewarding new career, you will work in a range of settings.
Responsibilities
* Work in special schools, alternative provisions, and inclusive mainstream units
* Support students with a range of needs including ASD, SEMH, MLD, PMLD, and complex learning profiles
* Provide 1:1 and small group support
* Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and multi-disciplinary teams
* Engage in a mix of long-term roles and flexible day-to-day supply work
What We're Looking For
* Passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with SEN
* Patient, empathetic, and resilient
* Experience with children/young people in education, care, or voluntary roles
* Keen to learn and develop in a supportive setting
* Able to obtain (or already hold) an Enhanced DBS
* Whether you're an experienced TA, support worker, or someone with transferable skills, this is a fantastic opportunity to build a meaningful career in SEN education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
