About the opportunity
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Purchasing Officer to join our Procurement team. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, you’ll be responsible for ordering materials based on demand from our ERP system, maintaining supplier relationships, and contributing to cost-saving initiatives.This role is perfect for someone early in their supply chain or procurement career, who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
About you:
You are detail-oriented, practical, and ready to kick-start your career in procurement and supply chain. You enjoy working with data, solving problems, and getting things done efficiently. You’re a clear communicator who works well with others, and you take pride in staying organised and on top of the details. You’re curious, keen to learn, and excited about being part of a team that helps keep things moving in a busy manufacturing environment.
You’ll bring:
* Detail-oriented and analytical, with a safety-first mindset
* Skilled in Microsoft Excel and has some knowledge of ERP or inventory systems
* A strong communicator with good time management skills
* Confident in working with data to support purchasing decisions
* Interested in procurement, supply chain, and manufacturing environments
Bonus if you also have (but not essential)
* Experience in electronics or manufacturing
* Understanding of supplier terms and conditions
* Related tertiary education or certifications
