Job Description
The Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (MEICA) role is vital to the effective and efficient running of our flood risk pumping stations, water control structures and our wider business. You will be joining a MEICA team to prioritise, plan and deliver maintenance or replacement of crucial assets to protect homes, businesses and the environment. The role involves working closely with external contractors to develop a world‑class asset management organisation while providing strong technical leadership and ensuring compliance with technical, safety, legal and environmental requirements.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical leadership to assure design and technical standards across MEICA assets.
* Monitor quality and advise on specialist MEICA technical, safety, legal, environmental and operational requirements across diverse geographic areas.
* Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to plan and deliver maintenance or replacement projects.
* Lead incident response activities and act as single point of contact for engineering matters.
Qualifications & Experience
* Comprehensive knowledge of engineering statutory legislation, British and European standards.
* Experience leading safety investigations, conducting root cause analysis, reliability engineering and process improvement.
* Proficiency in technical leadership, writing and reviewing technical specifications.
* Minimum qualification of HNC/D or degree in a mechanical discipline; level 4 qualification with I‑Eng professional registration considered.
* Full UK driving licence required.
Additional Information
Full UK driving licence is essential for the role. Interviews will be held face‑to‑face or via video under special circumstances. All staff will undertake training and participate in incident response duties.
