Job Opportunity: Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Location: Norwich Office
Responsibilities include supporting the commercial team to maintain control over costs related to labour, subcontractors, plant, materials, consumables, and administration. You will also assist with project valuation, cost management, and validating progress data for accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage contract entitlements and obligations under main and sub-contracts.
* Administer contract records.
* Support management of subcontract payments, including negotiating variations and reconciling accounts.
* Gather accurate data for monthly cost and value reconciliations and contract reviews.
* Audit and reconcile measurements against actuals.
* Generate weekly cost/value reports.
* Assist in target cost generation.
* Help produce financial and statistical reports.
* Coordinate with operational and support staff.
* Perform other duties as required.
Skills & Experience:
* Experience in a similar role.
* Preferably pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying.
* Knowledge of NEC Contracts.
* Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
* Self-motivated with a proactive attitude.
