Real Estate Finance Associate
We are seeking a talented and commercially minded Real Estate Finance Senior Associate/Associate to join a leading real estate and banking practice. The successful candidate will advise a broad range of lenders, borrowers, investors, developers and corporate clients on complex real estate finance transactions across multiple asset classes.This role offers exposure to high-value domestic and cross-border transactions, working alongside experienced partners and senior lawyers in a collaborative and ambitious environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Advising lenders and borrowers on a wide range of real estate finance transactions.
* Drafting, reviewing and negotiating finance documents, security documentation and ancillary agreements
* Supporting acquisition finance, development finance, investment finance and refinancing transactions
* .Conducting due diligence and coordinating transaction workstreams with colleagues across real estate, corporate and tax teams
* Managing transaction processes from inception through to completion
* Liaising directly with clients, financial institutions, agents, surveyors and external counsel
* Assisting with business development initiatives, client relationship management and thought leadership activities
* Supervising and mentoring trainees and junior lawyers where appropriate
Candidate Profile
* Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent common law jurisdiction)
* Typically 5+ years post-qualification experience in real estate finance, banking or property finance
* Strong technical knowledge of finance and security documentation
* Experience acting on lender and/or borrower-side transactions
* Excellent drafting, negotiation and project management skills
* Commercially focused with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
* Strong academic background and attention to detail
* Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively within a team
