As the Substance Misuse Social Worker, you will:
7. Work with adults whose primary social care needs are impacted by substance use
8. Provide a duty/front door service offering advice, signposting, screening, and risk assessments
9. Complete Care Act assessments and develop strength-based support plans
10. Undertake initial care reviews and manage complex cases
11. Fulfil statutory safeguarding duties, including Section 42 enquiries
12. Collaborate with health professionals, housing services, voluntary sector, and other key partners
Essential requirements of this Substance Misuse Social Worker role:
13. Registration as a Social Worker with Social Work England
14. Experience working with adults in a statutory setting
15. A passion for supporting individuals with substance misuse issues
16. Previous experience in substance misuse is desirable but not essential
