Job Description
My client are looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to join their team on an initial 3-6 month contract, Inside IR35. They are moving towards a data-driven culture, and this individual will help lead their Fabric-First analytics layer - designing reusable semantic models, optimising Dataflows Gen2 and Lakehouse/Warehouse tables, and co-creating their core management reporting suite.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the build of governed, high performance semantic models (Direct Lake/Import/Composite) and certified Data sets
* Engineer upstream transformations with PySpark/SQL/notebooks; minimise DAX-heavy shaping
* Co-design the KPI Taxonomy and management reporting suite with Execs and functional leaders
* Optimise refresh, performance and deployment;enforce standards, security and documentation
* Mentor engineers and drive best practice across the analytics community
* Prepare models for CoPilot & Fabric AI: business-friendly names, synonyms metadata and consistent and measures.
What our client is looking for:
1. Strong Microsoft Fabric experience; expert Power BI model design and performance tuning.
