Wargrave House School (ages 5 - 16) & Ascent College (ages 16 - 25) operate a non-maintained special school and independent specialist college with an excellent reputation for delivering outstanding education and care to Autistic young people. We are the first national provider to receive Beacon status from the National Autistic Society.

An opportunity has arisen for a teacher with phase lead responsibilities for Key Stage 3 with over site of careers to contribute to the ongoing development of an outstanding provision and support for our learners. Working in conjunction with all stakeholders to ensure the implementation of a creative and innovative curriculum. As Phase Lead you will work closely with the Senior, Deputy and Head to support staff to deliver, assess progress, record and report on the delivery of the curriculum across the phase, ensuring deep thought has been given to the sequencing of learning so learners build on what they know. Furthermore, they will be responsible for supporting the Senior to co-ordinate assessment procedures across the school, ensuring timely interventions are implemented. Supporting teachers in the planning of bespoke lessons that incorporate the individuals EHCP targets and are creative in content. The aim being to ensure ambitious and purposeful outcomes where students gain the knowledge, skills and attitudes they need to be successful in life.
