Technical Sales & Projects Engineer About Pitkin & Ruddock Pitkin & Ruddock provide complete temperature control solutions, services and maintenance to all our customers in the East Anglia region and across the UK. Established in 1954 and we pride ourselves in helping businesses big and small. We are looking for an experienced Technical Sales & Projects Engineer to join our growing team based in Lowestoft. Based from our Lowestoft Service Centre you will cover the area of mainly Suffolk and Norfolk. Reporting directly to the Branch Director you will be responsible for helping the sales and management team with planning and achieving the next stage of our development strategy, generating new and existing business as our technical sales presence. Other responsibilities of the role: * Actively involved in the process of new and existing business development to maximise sales for both installation of new products, services and maintenance agreements. * Establish, build and manage customer relationships including system design and selection of appropriate equipment suitable for their needs. * Fully manage the engineering and organisation for jobs and projects from enquiry to completion. * Liaise with engineers, sub-contractors and colleagues to ensure projects are carried out in an efficient and effective manner. * Ensure quality assurance, profitability and customer satisfaction through ongoing monitoring and final inspection of projects and jobs and provide feedback. Skills required * Have a flexible and self motivated approach. * Proven sales and project management experience. * Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and forge strong business levels is key as this is a customer focused role. * Excellent technical skills and knowledge in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration to deal with the complex technical nature of the work. * Good IT skills (Mac and PC) such as Word and Excel. * Experience with CAD drawing packages would be an advantage. * A good knowledge of Health & Safety regarding the risks and hazards associated within the construction industry. * Strong time management skills to ensure workload is prioritised – ability to multi-task is essential * Full clean UK Driving Licence We consider our employees to be part of our family so when you join Pitkin & Ruddock, you’ll be joining a company that wants you to grow with us and stay with us.
