Role: Temp specialist support worker and relief staff\n\nLocation of role: LICS Community Based\n\nHours of work: Monday to Friday 9-4.30 (9-4.00 Wednesday) – Relief as and when to cover AL Sickness\n\nRate of Pay: £24.307.00 (£12.60 Per Hour)\n\nRole Description:\n\nWe are seeking to hire specialist support workers for a temporary position to cover maternity leave for 12 months, as well as relief support workers to address absences due to annual leave and sickness. While prior experience is beneficial, it is not a requirement, as we offer comprehensive training and a 12-week induction program. At LICS, we focus on providing one-on-one support for adults with learning disabilities, helping them engage with their local communities, participate in chosen activities, and promote their independence, skill development, social connections, and overall well-being.\n\nAs a community-based outreach service, we prioritize person-centred support to ensure the safety of our clients while they enjoy their preferred activities.

Our foundational principles enable us to deliver effective support, with each service tailored to empower individuals as the primary decision-makers in their care.\n\nExperience and Skills:\n\n * Good listening and communication skills with people with a learning disability.\n\n * Experience supporting individuals with learning and physical difficulties.\n\n * Ability to encourage and enable service users to make choices and take control of their lives and increase independence.\n\n * Ability to assist Service Users in all areas of personal care in ways that maintain independence, privacy, and dignity.\n\n * Ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a range of people and professionals, as listed in the job description.\n\n * Ability to respond to and complete paperwork.\n\n * Good organizational skills.\n\n * Good teamwork skills.
