JOB PURPOSE:
You will b e providing comprehensive HR operational advice and support across the Group, r esolving HR queries from employees and line managers and proactively promoting the use of HR systems to support the delivery of HR activities across the Group .

PERSON SPECIFICATION
* Hold a relevant professional qualification, ie CIPD or equivalent.
* Expert level knowledge of using an HR database (Ideally iTrent and the reporting tool, Business Objects).
* Demonstrable experience of working with Microsoft Office applications, including MS Word and Excel.
* Knowledge of General Data Protection Regulations and requirements linked to HR / employee data collected and processed by the department.
* Confident in providing advice and guidance to all levels within the Group.
* Able to challenge and influence where necessary.
* The ability to work on sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.
* Able to prioritise work and delegate work to the HR Administrator.
* Excellent communication skills and able to present thoughts verbally or written.
* Experience of providing first class customer service in a busy environment.
* Commitment to self-development.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage assigned payroll/s, ensure that all data is accurate, and individuals are paid correctly.
* Ensure HR-related documentation, including the starter and leaver processes, offer letters, contracts of employment, contract variations and leaver documentation is completed in a timely manner.
* Oversee the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for staff and ensure that the Single Central Record/s are maintained accurately and in a timely manner.
* Manage the development/upgrading, improvement and on-going maintenance of HR systems ensuring accuracy of HR system data and to identify and rectify data gaps, and facilitate a smooth transition between platforms,
* Responsible for the training and coaching of managers and employees in the use of HR systems.
* Build and run bespoke reports to aid the completion of FOI requests and other statutory returns.
* Provide HR performance reports to satisfy internal and external audit requirements.
* Work with the HR Advisor (ER) on the development of good working relationships with key managers, via the delivery of training on key HR areas.
* Work with managers on tailored recruitment campaigns for hard to fill posts.
* Support the team to ensure the delivery of objectives and projects.
* Maintain HR trackers and electronic documents.
* Provide excellent customer service to all service users.
