Job Summary
The Preschool Deputy Manager is responsible for supporting the Manager to oversee the daily operations of the preschool, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children while fostering their educational development. This role involves strategic planning, budgeting, and management of staff, as well as maintaining compliance with CIW regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for early childhood development.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the preschool's running and overall effectiveness.
* Manage the preschool budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to meet operational needs.
* Supervise and support staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
* Ensure compliance with CIW regulations.
* Foster a positive and collaborative environment among staff, parents, and the community.
* Conduct regular assessments of interventions to ensure high-quality learning experiences for children.
* Maintain open communication with parents regarding their children's progress and preschool activities.
Skills
* Essential - Level 3 Qualification with the willingness to work towards Level 5
* Strong strategic planning abilities to set goals and develop plans for improvement.
* Excellent management skills to lead the staff team.
* Knowledge of CIW requirements to support the setting through the inspection process.
* Demonstrated leadership capabilities to inspire and motivate staff.
* Experience of Early Childhood Development.
