Stonehouse, Gloucestershire
Description & Scope
* Implements sourcing plans/ tactics to effectively manage the sourcing activities related to his/ her assigned project portfolio
* Provides sourcing and procurement support, ensuring parts are sourced in a cost-effective and timely manner from suitable vendors.
* Works with the assigned project teams to meet critical project timelines, prioritizing work and communicating progress in cadence reviews/ through tracking mechanisms.
* Defines part & assembly parameters for systematic Purchase Order release.
* Assesses supplier capabilities and makes recommendations for new supplier onboarding.
* Understands strategies for assigned commodities & proactively drive initiatives to meet departmental objectives
Responsibilities
Order Management
* Process purchase orders and sales orders accurately in ERP systems
* Track order status and ensure timely delivery
* Updates in the system when dates have been moved
Sourcing Support
* Follow-up on request for quote (RFQ) packages
* Ensuring accurate documentation, sending additional documentation as necessary
Supplier Coordination
* Communicate with suppliers regarding lead times, deliveries, and order confirmations
* Resolve discrepancies in invoices or shipments
Qualifications
* Bachelor Degree in Procurement / Sourcing / Manufacturing / Operations / Business economics or a related discipline
* Process and quality improvement driven
* Experience with data management and control principles
* Proficient in MS Office apps, SAP (favourable) or other ERP system
* Negotiation and decision making skills
