Robotics Engineer
Antrim area | Full-time | Salary Negotiable
A large local engineering company is currently seeking a Robotics Engineer to join their growing manufacturing team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the automation of welding and assembly processes within a fast-paced production environment.
You'll be involved in everything from programming and operating robotic systems to supporting lean manufacturing initiatives and ensuring high-quality outputs. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in robotic welding and a passion for engineering innovation.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Design and implement robotic systems for manufacturing processes such as welding, assembly, and materials handling.
* Integrate automation equipment with existing machinery and workflows.
* Operate and program robotic welding systems, ensuring quality standards and production targets are consistently met.
* Use jigs, fixtures, and engineering drawings to fabricate complex metal assemblies.
* Set up, adjust, and fine-tune welding parameters (voltage, amperage, wire feed rate, etc.).
* Carry out routine operator-level maintenance and ensure equipment is functioning safely and efficiently.
* Support continuous improvement activities and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
What We're Looking For:
* HNC/HND in Engineering with 2+ years of relevant experience, or Level 3 qualification with 5+ years of hands-on work in an engineering environment.
* Experience with robotic welding systems and programming.
* Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings and working with jigs and fixtures.
* Familiarity with welding parameters and safety practices.
* Strong technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Comfortable working in both workshop and office environments.
Working Hours:
* Monday to Thursday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
* Friday: 8:00am - 3:00pm
