We are looking for Bank Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN) / Bank Registered Learning Disabilities Nurses (RNLD) with a passion for delivering outstanding care. You'll be working flexible hours (days/nights/weekends), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Paddocks. Shift hours are 8am - 8.30pm and 8pm - 8.30am. Cygnet Paddocks is our all‑male specialist neuropsychiatric hospital located in Widnes, in the North West. The service provides a dedicated care pathway for men affected by acquired brain injury or neurological conditions, where behaviours that challenge are the overarching impairment to recovery and rehabilitation. Supporting the level 1 Neuropsychiatric Rehabilitation Pathway for the North West, with a focus exclusively on Adult Males. Paddocks has individually designed wards to facilitate a clear and distinctive care and treatment pathway for those affected by an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI); where behaviours that challenge are the overarching impairment to recovery and rehabilitation. Cygnet has been providing a national network of high‑quality specialist mental health services for more than 30 years.
Responsibilities
* Produce outstanding written reports based on your nursing assessments and observations.
* Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit & improve quality.
* Attend all training & engage in CPD to further knowledge & promote nursing under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained.
* Collectively work with residents, relatives & other healthcare professionals and administer medicines within healthcare procedure and Healthcare Commission guidelines.
Qualifications
* Bank Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Bank Registered Learning Disabilities Nurse (RNLD) with a current PIN.
* At least 2 years experience working in a similar setting.
* Good understanding of the latest nursing practices.
* Commitment to patient recovery to effectively monitor, manage & reduce risk.
* Compassion, resilience & a dedication to empower & support service user independence.
* Essential: Ability to maintain documentation, undertake audits & demonstrate integrity in your role.
* Desirable: Ability to deputise in a clinical lead role.
* Desirable: Interest in leadership, research & assessment.
* Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
