An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to work within our Non‑Sterile Pharmacy and Aseptic Production Units based within Main Pharmacy.
If you are a team player with an ability to work under your own initiative, can work under pressure to deadlines, have a good level of dexterity, good communication skills, a high level of accuracy and are keen to develop your skills this could be the job for you.
Consideration will be given for strong candidates who may not meet the essential criteria, to undertake this role on a developmental basis with set competency targets. Roles offered on a developmental basis will be banded lower than originally advertised until competency targets are met.
For this role you will be required to lift and handle potentially heavy boxes, stand for long periods of time, work within a confined space and wear appropriate PPE including a clean room suit.

Key Responsibilities
* Under qualified supervision, prepare non‑sterile products on a small‑scale manufacturing or assembly basis; operating and maintaining the equipment used for these procedures and at times fulfil individual prescriptions.
* Adhere to written Standard Operating Procedures for work undertaken in this regulated cleanroom environment.
* Assist with facility cleaning and stock lifting and handling.
* Aid the Non‑Sterile Production Unit Leader in the day‑to‑day running of the unit, supervise various aspects of stock control and work with a team of Pharmacy Assistants & other Senior Pharmacy Assistants to ensure a quality service producing over‑labelled, repacked and manufactured pharmaceutical products for the Trust and external customers.
* Aseptically manufacture named patient and batch products following procedures and worksheets.
* Assist in the supervision of the day‑to‑day workload within the Aseptic Unit.
* Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of the facility and equipment supporting the manufacturing process and assist senior staff in demonstrating particular duties to junior and rotational staff.
