Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Compliance Technician located in Inverurie. The Compliance Technician will be responsible for ensuring that the company's operations adhere to relevant regulations and standards. Key tasks include conducting inspections, maintaining records, drafting compliance reports, assisting with internal audits, and supporting the implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Label Verifications Documentation checks, making sure they comply with Food Law Regulations and retaining these for the purposes of maintaining traceability.
* Working with the Production team and Hygiene Team to ensure that the standard of site hygiene is maintained, as well as Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
* Measuring and recording temperatures throughout the factory and adhering to procedures for the control of non-conformances.
* Undertaking documented checks of finished products.
* Internal and external calibrations of technical equipment.
* Checking and filing of all pre-start-up checks and reporting any concerns.
* Undertaking scheduled production/fulfilment audits, such as personnel hygiene, glass, hard plastics, and fabrication.
* Assisting with food safety and hygiene audits when required.
* Dealing with returns from customers and ensuring that returns are dealt with according to relevant procedures and reporting to customer services as required.
* Carrying out environmental swabs and hand swabs.
* Issuing training documents, as requested by managers or supervisors, and ensuring these are returned timeously.
* Being a member of the HACCP team.
* Providing food safety training at induction for all new employees, including IHASCO.
* Placing products on QC hold and informing all relevant persons/departments where and when required.
* Issuing food safety PPE.
* Creating and controlling documentation as required.
* Enforcing technical standards and procedures with production/fulfilment.
* Assisting with investigations into customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
* Traceability exercises.
* Submission of samples to the lab.
* Trending of lab results.
* Assisting with the creation of specifications and labels.
* Intake of traded goods.
* Assisting with third-party audits.
