We are seeking an experienced, forward-thinking leader to take on the role of PCN Operations Manager and Digital & Transformation Lead for Shropshire Rural Alliance PCN. This is an exciting opportunity to shape local health services, lead meaningful change, and work at the forefront of innovation in primary care.
You will lead the operational delivery of key services across the PCN, including Enhanced Access, ARRS workforce development, and digital transformation programmes such as EMIS Hub, cloud telephony, and digital triage. This role combines hands-on coordination with strategic leadership and system-level collaboration.
Based in Rural Shropshire and supported by a proactive team and federation infrastructure, this role offers variety, autonomy, and impact. You will work closely with clinical leaders, practice managers, and wider stakeholders to improve patient outcomes, reduce inequalities, and future-proof local care.
If you're passionate about making services work better, confident in managing teams and digital change, and want to play a pivotal role in transforming primary care, we'd love to hear from you.
This is a hands-on leadership role at the heart of primary care. You will be based across practices in SRA PCN, working with a wide range of clinical and non-clinical teams to improve patient access, support staff, and ensure smooth daily operations.
This role offers real variety and impact. One day you could be building the Enhanced Access rota and supporting a new team member, the next troubleshooting EMIS sessions, attending a system meeting, or supporting a GP practice to improve digital triage. No two days are the same, and you will work with people across all levels of the health system.
We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds including operations, service improvement, IT, practice management, digital transformation, programme delivery, NHS admin, and beyond. If you are highly organised, people-focused, confident with systems, and enjoy improving services for staff and patients, this could be your ideal next step.
Our Health Partnership was established by local GPs passionate about providing high-quality primary care and using their skills effectively to benefit patients.
Currently, we are a Primary Care Network supporting approximately 30,000 patients across five GP practices in rural Shropshire (Clive, Knockin, Pontesbury & Worthen, Shawbury, and Westbury). We deliver additional services such as extended hours, paramedic home visits, and first-contact physiotherapists. By working together, we aim to offer more effective and efficient services that meet patient needs.
