The Board of Governors plays a focal role in the strategic development and overall performance of the University of Lincoln, and membership of the Board offers a rewarding opportunity for individuals to play a key part in enhancing the University’s success and reputation regionally, nationally and internationally, as well as personal development and networking opportunities that this brings.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
We are recruiting to independent member vacancies on our Board and welcome applications from individuals with senior leadership experience and a strong commitment to higher education, public service and organisational stewardship, who can provide independent constructive challenge to the executive team whilst acting as ambassadors for our University. We are interested in hearing from candidates who can bring strategic insight, development and innovation expertise and from a broad range of sectors, including business, industry and international partnerships, entrepreneurship, technology and digital innovation, finance and other professional services, healthcare, education, the creative and cultural industries, the public sector, charities and social enterprises.
The Board meets six times a year, with a strategic away day combined with a formal meeting. Members are expected to prioritise attendance, as well as training and development days. There are also opportunities for members of the Board to join one or more of the Board’s sub-committees.

Governors are not paid, but reasonable expenses are reimbursed.
