About the Role
We are recruiting for the role of Senior Family Support Worker in our Parenting Practitioner Team on a full-time permanent basis. Warwickshire’s Parenting Practitioner Team brings together experienced family support workers and social workers to help parents, carers and families achieve successful outcomes and sustained change.
An opportunity has arisen for a family support worker to join the team to complete specialist assessments across the county, including capacity to change, pre-birth assessments and parenting assessments to assist good decision making.
* Work collaboratively with parents, children, young people, social workers, FSWs and others to complete specialist assessments
* Work with the case management social worker to ensure a clear purpose and outcome for the assessment
* Identify and lead the implementation of support to parents to enable safe parenting during the assessment process
* Write coherently and succinctly in line with WCC & Family Court rules
* Manage and lead understanding of risk and work with others to make recommendations and implement safe parenting plans
* Present assessments with clear evidence-based rationale

Key Requirements
Applicants for the role will need a Relevant Child and Family qualification to Level 3 with evidence of substantial experience as a family support worker or an NVQ Level Four or equivalent qualification in a relevant Child & Family / Youth Justice subject.
