We are seeking an experienced and qualified Technician to join our team at the Wakefield Depot. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Your duties will include Planned Preventative Maintenance, quick resolution of system breakdowns, defect repairs, and the overall upkeep and optimization of our depot facilities and automation systems.
Role responsibilities
* Perform scheduled maintenance on volume picking machinery
* Keep records of maintenance work and support managing external contractors on site
* Respond promptly to breakdowns of production equipment during production hours
* Assist in delivering Supply Chain technical projects
In this role, you will need to stand and walk most of your shift, and be able to lift up to 15kg, as well as bend, twist, kneel, and crouch.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Recognised Level 2 engineering, electrical, or mechanical qualification
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
* Experience in fault-finding within electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
* Desirable knowledge: AS-i, PROFIBUS, PROFINET
