Bid Writer
Location: Remote working with occasional travel to Newark / London

My client who are a leading Managed Services Provider specialising in network security, cloud, and unified communications & collaboration (UC&C) solutions, are recruiting for a skilled Bid Writer to lead and manage high-value bids, craft compelling proposals, and drive their bid strategy forward.
As the bid writer you will be responsible for assembling and managing the bid, the process, and stakeholders, to prepare winning bids and maximise sales. Using the bid process, the bid writer will direct the bid ensuring team adherence to templates, tools, and governance gates, having full responsibility for the resulting bid response, through to signature of the contract.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead bid strategy sessions and develop win themes and value propositions
• Write clear, concise, and engaging bid content tailored to customer requirements
• Manage the end-to-end bid process, ensuring governance and timely delivery
• Collaborate with sales, solution architecture, commercial, and legal teams
• Maintain and modernise the bid library and proposal templates
• Qualify bid opportunities and ensure strategic alignment
• Drive continuous improvement through bid reviews and knowledge sharing
• Monitor tender portals and frameworks, ensuring visibility of opportunities
• Support contract renewals and maintain awareness of competitor activity
Essential skills….
• Proven experience in managing and writing bids within an MSP, ideally focused on IT services including security, cloud, and UC&C.
• Strong background in bid writing with demonstrable success in producing winning proposals.
• Exceptional written communication and storytelling skills, with a strong grasp of tone, clarity, and persuasiveness.
• Familiarity with technical concepts related to managed IT services.
• Creative, analytical, and able to distil complex information into readable content.
• Degree-level education or equivalent experience
