Optical Assistant Position
A progressive opportunity has just become available for a committed and professionally driven Optical Assistant for a full time, permanent role in the Nottingham area.
I am recruiting currently for a franchisee of one of the UK's most trusted optical brands who have an opening due to them strengthening their dispensing team.
This practice is situated in a busy shopping centre with strong footfall and a loyal customer base made up of a good mix of private and NHS patients.
They have a large team all working to the same goals and have a good reputation for being friendly and patient focused with equal consideration given to customer care and the business needs.
Responsibilities of the Optical Assistant
The role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. You will also be required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on options. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role and helping with the smooth running of the practice.
Requirements of the Optical Assistant
At least 1 years' experience in a busy practice is beneficial but not essential and the ability to dispense to all levels with a friendly and personable demeanour and strong personal work ethic. A customer focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.
Compensation for the Optical Assistant
For your skills and input my client is offering a competitive salary of up to £26,000 basic to start and a strong bonus scheme and additional benefits. You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training with the benefit of progression on to the dispensing optician course as well as joining a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment.
