The Basics
📍 Location: Macclesfield
📅 Start: ASAP
💷 Pay: Up to £230 / day for first 12 weeks. Paid to scale from 13th week.
⏰ Hours: Full-time | Mon–Fri | 8:30am–3:30pm
📑 Contract: Long term – could go perm eventually

What You’ll Be Doing
• Delivering engaging, differentiated English lessons across KS3 and KS4 to students with social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.
• Focusing on literacy, communication, and functional skills, alongside GCSE preparation where appropriate.
• Building strong, positive relationships that support students’ confidence, resilience, and motivation.
• Working closely with support staff, parents, and external agencies to create tailored learning plans.
• Contributing to the PRU’s wider ethos of care, respect, and inclusion.
Who You Are
• A qualified English Teacher (QTS/QTLS) with experience teaching KS3 and KS4.
• Confident supporting students with SEMH, behavioural needs, or SEND.
• Calm, patient, and able to de-escalate situations with empathy and consistency.
• Creative and adaptable in your teaching approach.
• Passionate about helping learners re-engage with education and achieve success.
What You’ll Need
• CV covering your last 10 years of work.
• Proof of right to work & address in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to buy a new one).
• References covering the last 2 years (one from a school).
• QTS/QTLS certificate or recognized equivalent.
