About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Lecturer to join a Further Education college in London. You will deliver high-quality teaching and learning to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), supporting them to achieve their full potential academically, socially, and personally. Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to students with SEND
* Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with curriculum requirements
* Develop and implement Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and support strategies
* Monitor and track student progress, providing timely feedback and support
* Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
* Work collaboratively with support staff, EHCP coordinators, and safeguarding teams
* Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet a wide range of learning needs
* Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives
About You
* Experience teaching students with SEND in an FE College or similar setting
* Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and differentiation
* Excellent communication and classroom management skills
* Patient, empathetic, and committed to student success
Desirable
* Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
* Experience working with EHCPs and additional learning support
* Subject specialism relevant to FE curriculum (e.g. Functional Skills, Vocational subjects)
