As a Senior Clinical Trials Pharmacy Technician, your role involves managing the supply chain of trial medications, maintaining financial records, drug accountability, study archiving, and liaising with sponsors.
Key competencies include:
* Relevant Pharmacy Technician qualification (B4 and B5)
* GPHC registration (B4 and B5)
* Accuracy Checking Technician accreditation (B5 only)

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Your core responsibilities include GCP training, managing clinical trial medicines, liaising with research staff, maintaining trial documentation, supporting aseptic procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Additional duties involve supporting the Clinical Trial Aseptic Unit, preparing aseptic products, monitoring stock levels, maintaining equipment, and participating in quality assurance activities.
Person specification
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services, BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences, or equivalent, registered with GPhC
* Accredited Checking Technician status or willingness to undertake training
* A1 Assessor's qualification or equivalent
Experience
* At least 2 years' hospital or community pharmacy experience
* Experience in training or supervising staff
* NHS experience and clinical trials experience preferred
* Experience with aseptic procedures
Behavioural Skills
* Professional, team-oriented, enthusiastic, and responsible
* Organized with good prioritization skills
* Knowledge of GCP and adaptability to change
Technical Skills
* Computer literacy, especially MS Office
* Commitment to CPD and understanding of pharmacy services
Personal Skills
* Attention to detail, initiative, good communication, and professionalism
