ABOUT THE ROLE Prospero Teaching is looking for a qualified ESOL Tutor to deliver personalised, one-to-one English language support to young learners who are Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children. This role is ideal for an experienced ESOL teacher who wants to make a meaningful difference by providing engaging, supportive sessions that help students improve their English, rebuild their confidence, and re-engage with learning. These students have English as an additional language and will have missed significant schooling. You'll plan and deliver bespoke lessons that meet their language needs while fostering a positive, structured learning experience. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Deliver tailored ESOL sessions on a 1:1 basis within the student's home or out in the community (library or learning hub) Create engaging lesson plans that support language acquisition and confidence-building Track student progress and adapt teaching methods as needed Work closely with the Prospero Teaching team to ensure effective support is in placeROLE DETAILS Location: Barnet and surrounding areas Hours: Flexible - from 1 to 2 hours per session; part-time and full-time options available Pay rate: Up to £30 per hourREQUIREMENTS Recognised ESOL teaching qualification (e.g. CELTA, TESOL, or equivalent) Minimum 6 months experience teaching ESOL in a UK setting Confident working independently and managing personalised learning plans A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one Right to work in the UKWHY JOIN PROSPERO TEACHING?
