Overview
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Waking Night Support Worker to join our service based in Caister-on-Sea, Great Yarmouth, on a part-time basis (18 hours per week). Flexibility is necessary for this role. Shift times are from 22:00 start through to 07:00 finish. You must be able to get to the service for your allocated start time. As a Waking Night Support Worker, you\'ll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.
Responsibilities
* Provide overnight support to individuals with learning disabilities, promoting safety, comfort, and wellbeing.
* Build meaningful relationships and maintain clear, respectful communication with service users and colleagues.
* Work within a 22:00–07:00 shift, ensuring routines and needs are met during the night.
Qualifications and attributes
* A genuine passion for supporting others.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
* A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
Contract and scheduling
* Part-time: 18 hours (spread across 7 days per week)
* Waking Nights: 22:00-07:00
* All our services are 24hr care. Rotas are prepared at least 4 weeks in advance to help you plan your personal and social life.
