Job Summary
The post holder will work as part of a dynamic IT Operations Team, focusing on the technical support frontline service within the End User Computing environment. This role delivers first line activities providing resolution of all related tickets and service requests in an efficient and effective manner and collaborates with the wider Digital Service team to support inter-department tickets and service requests for internal and external stakeholders.
Main duties
To support the provision of first line technical support and guide on hardware and software used across the Trust. This may relate to PC and peripheral hardware or software configuration, networking, or application specific. If service requests cannot be resolved within first line, escalate to other sections of Digital Services. Participate in responses related to troubleshooting of all tickets reported to the first line team, following identified priorities and raising concerns if priority needs assessment, continuing to resolve in a timely manner.

Job responsibilities
Identify any service issue that may arise (e.g., regarding security, resilience or performance) and resolve if possible, or report to management to ensure systems are monitored and appropriate action is taken to maintain and optimise them.
Set up, configure and install equipment and software to support projects and initiatives within the Trust. Assist with planning software/hardware rollouts as required, with agreement of specific project teams. Work with other team members to enable delivery of new systems and software during live running.
Be responsible for assisting with the creation and reviewing of standard operating procedures for the section, and inform a senior member if a SOP requires reviewing as it may be out of date or incorrect.

Person Specification
Essential
* Level 4 qualification or equivalent experience in an IT end user service/supporting field
* Evidence of continuing professional development
* ITIL 4 Foundation
* Relevant established experience of working in an IT technical environment in a support role with IT end users, working within a service desk environment
Desirable
* Full UK driving licence
* Experience of people and resource management
* Experience of working within the NHS supporting NHS specific systems
* Evidence of developing and implementing working practices to improve IT service efficiency
