Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Assistant to join our busy finance team within the engineering and construction industry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in finance who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to contribute to a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Raise and process sales invoices accurately and in a timely manner
* Manage and maintain client accounts, ensuring accurate records and timely updates
* Process card payments over the phone securely and efficiently
* Prepare and issue weekly debtors and cash forecast reports to the senior finance team
* Produce and distribute monthly statements to clients
* Upload and issue monthly CPAs via client portals
* Perform credit control duties, including proactive follow-up on outstanding balances
* Supporting the team during periods of annual leave and absence.
Candidate Profile:
* Proven experience in a similar finance or sales ledger role within a fast-paced environment (+5 Years Experience)
* Solid understanding of general accounting principles and procedures
* Highly organised, with the ability to manage a high volume of invoices and multiple deadlines
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
* Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, is highly desirable
