Primary School After-school Club Manager

Free childcare for primary school age children
Monday – Friday full-time term time only role
Active Camps Ltd are recruiting for a Primary School Club Manager at West Oxford Primary School, Oxford, Oxfordshire during the term time. Oxford Active Ltd has been running successful clubs in Oxfordshire for over 15 years. Due to continued success we want to speak with people who enjoy working with children, and want a fun, rewarding job.
What We Need From You:
At least 1 years' experience or working with children aged 4 – 11 years in a school, play or another relevant environment, preferably in a supervisory role
Ideally have an appropriate qualification in Playwork/Childcare at Level 3 or the equivalent
Ability to communicate at all levels, particularly with children
Cooperative and flexible with the ability to lead and inspire a team
Ability to work on own initiative and take responsibility for running a successful club
Must know and understand Ofsted standards and the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
Be willing to undertake further relevant training as necessary
All staff need to pass strict safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS
The hours are from 2:30pm until 6pm You will be ensuring all paperwork etc is up to date and the after-school club runs from 2;45pm – 6pm.
Your Shift At After School Club:
Overseeing the delivery of play opportunities in a safe and caring environment
Liaise with colleagues, the schools and parents
Leading a team of Activity Leaders – up to 4 - and liaising with Oxford Active Operations Manager about any staff issues, absences or other problems that may arise
Organising the provision of snacks and refreshments for the children, including buying food on a weekly basis within an agreed budget
Being responsible for day-to-day administration and record keeping at the club to meet required Ofsted standards
Conducting regular team meetings and staff performance reviews
Being responsible for the safe-keeping of the club property and equipment
Being the lead practitioner responsible for safeguarding all children attending the club
Ensuring the safe arrival of children from school classrooms and the safe delivery to parents/carers at the end of the day
Understanding and working within all Oxford Active policies and procedures
Carrying out all responsibilities and activities within an equal opportunity's framework
Job Types: Temporary contract, Freelance, Permanent, Full-time, Fixed term contract
Part-time hours: 17.5 hours per week
Pay: From £15.00 per hour
