Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (Ofsted)
Location: Shrewsbury area
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £55,500 per annum + performance-related bonuses (OTE up to £64,500)

Essential Requirements
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare
* Minimum 3 years’ experience within children’s residential care
* At least 2 years’ experience in a Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager or Registered Manager position
* Previous experience within an Ofsted-regulated children’s home
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding, Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
* Full UK driving licence
* Access to own vehicle with business insurance
* Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work flexibly and participate in an on-call rota
Ideal Candidate
* Experienced Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within children’s residential care
* Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding and therapeutic care practices
* Passionate about achieving positive outcomes for children and young people
* Resilient, organised and able to lead and motivate a team effectively
* Excellent communication, leadership and relationship-building skills
* Committed to maintaining a safe, nurturing and high-quality care environment
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the children’s residential home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance at all times
* Provide effective leadership, supervision and development support to the staff team
* Promote a positive, therapeutic and child-centred culture within the home
* Ensure safeguarding practices, Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards are consistently met
* Work towards achieving and maintaining an Ofsted rating of “Good” or above
* Oversee staff rotas, performance management, training and recruitment
* Ensure care plans, risk assessments and records are accurate, up to date and effective
* Promote positive outcomes for children and young people across education, wellbeing, independence and emotional development
* Work collaboratively with families, social workers, therapeutic professionals and external agencies
* Support trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to care and behaviour support
* Monitor the home’s environment, health & safety and overall quality assurance processes
* Participate in the management on-call rota and support the operational needs of the service as required
