Domestic Abuse Support Work Team Leader with previous experience in Domestic Abuse as a social carer/support worker or similar working with vulnerable individuals, along with good staff supervision skills, is required for a housing association based in Oxford.
SALARY: £35,675 - £41,308 per annum + Generous Benefits
LOCATION: Oxford, Oxfordshire (OX1) with occasional travel to other sites
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
KEY REQUIREMENTS: Candidates MUST hold a full driving licence
Job Overview
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Domestic Abuse Support Work Team Leader with experience in Domestic Abuse, working as a social carer/support worker or similar with vulnerable individuals and staff supervision skills.
As the Team Leader, you will join the Care and Support department to ensure the delivery, management, and development of high-quality, person-centered support to customers.
You will also be responsible for facilities management related to the building, ensuring compliance with contract specifications, procedures, and statutory obligations, to enable individuals to sustain tenancies by promoting independence, freedom, and choice.
DUTIES
* Act as Designated MARAC Officer
* Monitor and manage team caseloads, ensuring support aligns with support plans and policies
* Report safeguarding concerns or significant changes in clients' health/social circumstances
* Manage and support staff, volunteers, and student placements (absence, performance, training)
* Stay informed on legislation and best practices to contribute to the Care & Support strategy and review policies accordingly
Candidate Requirements
* Driving License essential
* Level 4 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (desirable)
* Experience in Domestic Abuse essential
* Experience of MARAC processes desirable
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience in staff supervision and performance management
* Social care experience or working with vulnerable customers
* Knowledge of safeguarding
* Organizational and time management skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
