AI Security Engineer Knutsford– Hybrid, 3 days on siteContract - £600 - £630 per day (inside)Our client is seeking an AI Security Engineer who will join the security team of a major organisation. You willbine practical engineering experience with deep knowledge of Data Security, AI Security, and cloud-native security practices.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Drive enhancements to the AI/GenAI security platform and scanning infrastructure, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and approved budgets.
2. Work alongside engineers to contribute to design, build, and optimise cloud-native data & GenAI Security services
3. Support stakeholders in leveraging and adopting the latest Data & GenAI Security cloud-native application architectures.
4. Ensure all Data Security architecture and cloud infrastructure amodates the latest security and software lifecycle patterns.
Required Skills/Experience:
5. Experience conducting threat modelling, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments across AI/ML ecosystems, including data pipelines, model APIs, and supporting infrastructure.
6. Hands on expertise with core cybersecurity technologies, such as firewalls, SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, and related security tooling.
7. Proficiency in Python, with the ability to develop automation, security tooling, and data-driven scripts.
8. Strong understanding of secure software development practices, including OWASP principles and DevSecOps methodologies integrated into CI/CD workflows.
9. Working knowledge of machine learning concepts, data processing techniques, andmon AI/ML frameworks (, PyTorch, Scikit learn, LangChain) — considered a strong advantage.
10. Risk Management and working experience and understanding different delivery methods, Scrum, Kanban, JIRA, Agile etc.
11. Experience in working end to end with software development lifecycles.
12. 5+ years in DevOps, Security Engineering, or Infrastructure roles.
Desirable:
13. Previous experience in the financial/regulated sector
14. Certified GenAI and LLM Cybersecurity Professional (CGLCP)
15. Certified GenAI and LLM Cybersecurity Professional – Security Professionals (CGLCP SP)
16. AWS Certified AI Practitioner or CISSP
