Reporting to the Field Service Manager, you'll be out and about, visiting different client sites, providing on-site IT support as well as conducting installations and maintenance work.
Flexibility is essential – every day will be different, with new environments, new challenges and varying technologies to work with. The ideal candidate is driven, solution focussed and has strong communication skills – both for liaising with colleagues internally but also when communicating to clients of varied IT literacy.
Previous field experience is not required; this role could be the ideal move for someone currently in a desk-based IT support role who is looking for a more varied, hands-on position.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Travel to client sites across Cornwall to provide IT support and troubleshooting.
* Install and configure IT hardware and software (servers, PCs, printers, networking devices).
* Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Windows environments.
* Carry out basic networking troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, VLANs).
* Keep accurate records of all work and customer interactions.
* Collaborate with the Plymouth-based Support Desk team on escalated issues.
* Deliver friendly, professional customer service, offering guidance and reassurance when needed.
* Undertake training and to assist in training other or new members of staff as required.
* Undertake other duties as may be required within the general scope of the job.
* Work in accordance with all company procedures and guidelines.
Required Experience
* A formal background in IT support (desk-based or field).
* Working knowledge of Microsoft environments.
* Networking experience is beneficial (though training will be provided).

Salary & Benefits
* £28,000 - £32,000 DOE
