Overview
A temporary opportunity has become available at Prior Park College, Bath on a full-time or part-time basis (0.8 FTE).
The PE and Games department comprises a dedicated team of teachers and coaches, based in the Bury Sports Centre, a purpose-built indoor sports facility on our 57-acre site. Facilities include a large indoor sports hall, a fully equipped fitness centre and swimming pool, and a wide range of outdoor facilities including astro-turf, hard courts, playing fields and three cricket pitches. The department supports a broad range of sports via the Games programme alongside GCSE and A-Level PE courses, with the core aim of enabling the widest possible participation across the school.
Responsibilities
* The Sports Practitioner is a student-facing role, delivering Games sessions and PE lessons in the Sports Department, and running sports fixtures with students across all year groups from Year 7 (L3) to Year 13 (U6).
* Collaborate with staff to promote participation and inclusivity across all year groups.
Requirements
* Strong knowledge and experience in at least one of Rugby, Hockey, Netball, Tennis, or Cricket (multi-sport experience desirable).
* Hold one or more sports coaching qualifications.
