💰 Pay Rate: £33.30 per hour (Umbrella)

Birmingham City Council is seeking an experienced Safeguarding Social Worker to join their dedicated team, working to protect and promote the welfare of vulnerable children and young people across the city.
This is a frontline role in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong assessment, risk management, and relationship-building skills.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a varied caseload of children subject to safeguarding concerns, including Child Protection Plans, Child in Need plans, and Looked After Children
* Conduct thorough assessments and Section 47 enquiries
* Develop and implement care and safety plans in line with statutory guidance
* Work closely with children, families, and multi-agency partners to achieve positive outcomes
* Prepare and present reports for case conferences, reviews, and court proceedings
* Maintain accurate case records on the council's systems
🔹 Requirements:
* Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
* Minimum of 2 years' post-qualifying experience in safeguarding or child protection
* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory procedures
* Ability to work under pressure and manage complex cases
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain)
* Car driver with access to own vehicle preferred
