As an Infield Poling Support Coach, you will provide hands-on coaching, guidance, and technical support to poling engineers and operatives in the field, ensuring best practices, safety, and quality standards are consistently met. Ensure new recruits are competent in all poling related activities after training.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Deliver infield coaching and support to poling teams, focusing on technical excellence, safety, and operational efficiency.
* Complete competency sign off new recruits recently released from the training school.
* Ensure all poling activities comply with Highways Authority “Red Book” standards and company policies.
* Identify areas for individual and team development, delivering targeted coaching and training as required.
* Conduct structured field visits to observe, mentor, and assess poling operatives.
* Support the completion of allocated work on time and to the required quality and safety standards.
* Promote cost-effective working practices and seek opportunities to maximise operational efficiency.
* Participate in operational review meetings, providing feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement.
PERSON SPECIFICAITON
* Have experience in a similar coaching or technical support position within telecommunications.
* Have a strong background in the Poling industry, ideally within the Asset Assurance programme.
* Demonstrate strong leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
* Hold a full UK driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points, no bans within the last 12 months).
* Have a legal right to work in the UK.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
* Department – OSA – Poling
* Reports To – Head of Poling
* Hours of Work – 8:00 – 16:30
* Salary – £32,000 – £35,000
Holiday Entitlements –
* 6.6 week per annum, inclusive of bank holidays and company shutdowns.
